At First Street Brewing Company we find ourselves always looking to create new and unique flavors when it comes to craft beer, at the same time we’ve got a soft spot for straight-forward traditional beers like our Queen City Kölsch and Back Alley Porter. Our aim is to create first class beers that people come to call their favorites.

01. THE BASE
Nathan started home brewing with a buddy after he bought a homebrew kit. They got a taste for the craft and after winning some local brewing competitions in Nashville, Nathan thought, “Hey, I might be okay at this.”
02. FIRST IN FLAVOR
Fast forward to 2015 when our building’s previous owner called Nathan and said he was going to sell. Nathan and Jessi had a business plan put together and within a couple of months they had purchased our spot at 119 N. Saint Joseph in Downtown Hastings.
03. GRAIN TO GLASS
First Street Brewing Co. first opened in October 2016. We had two beers available on tap and a whole lot of minds to change about what great beer tastes like. Today we have our standards, rotating seasonals and one-off unique brews. Plus, our sister company Ensign Beverage makes non-alcohol, low-sugar drinks like kombucha.
04. A PLACE TO CONNECT
The First Street Brewing Co. Tap Room is a place to connect with old friends and make new ones over a pint. We love being in vibrant Downtown Hastings, it gives us a real opportunity to make connections with other small businesses.

At First Street Brewing, you can find our brewers’ personalities in our beers. Unique lineups and standard favorites will entice the beer novice and connoisseur alike.
06. TASTE OF HASTINGS
We proudly produce and can our beer and First Street Booch in Hastings, Nebraska. Sharing a wall with the original home of Kool-Aid, we’ve got some big beverage shoes to fill, and we’re looking forward to doing just that.
