We are proud to introduce Nebraska’s first ever canned nitro beer, 3TurnNitro from First Street Brewing Company.
We’ve created smooth, nitrogenated beers that can be taken home in cans. 3TurnNitro is Nebraska’s first canned nitro beer. No nitro taps? No problem. 3TurnNitro cans only need a refrigerator. 6-packs will be available outside the tap room for the first time on Leap Day, 2020: Saturday, February 29!
Nitro versions of Back Alley Porter and Popular Blonde have only been available in nitro form via First Street’s nitro taps, but with this new technology we are able to put Back Alley Porter and Popular Blonde into a package without using the assistance of a nitrogen widget. Nitro widgets are common among craft breweries who package nitro beers.
So what is a nitro beer? Simple: we take our standard recipes, so the same great flavor stays in-tact, and cut the amount of C02 to add nitrogen gas. This 70/30 combo, respectively, creates a beer with a smooth, creamy mouthfeel.
What recipe pairs perfectly with a smooth and creamy mouthfeel? Our Popular Blonde 3TurnNitro of course. This coffee blonde ale has been a tap room favorite since we released in in 2017. Adding the richness of the nitro experience makes this beer really resemble a delicious, smooth cuppa joe.
Back Alley Porter 3TurnNitro is delicious as the roasty, chocolate characteristics are heightened in its nitro form.
